don't forget save some for Zito tomorrow

and they shoulda started Cain yesterday and they woulda won both games

Am I alone in now believing Cain is as solid as Timmeh? I feel equally confident when either takes the ball. I truly believe they are co-aces

Rowand seems to consistently miss pitches by a foot...Panda simply makes shitty contact on a lot of balls he shouldn't be swinging at.

Still think Pablo's going to have a much better year. But I guess some weaknessess don't go away.

Agreed. Panda will improve on 2010 but i don't think he'll ever duplicate 2009. Can you even think of a scenario where that happens? Does every pitcher suddenly stop knowing he swings at everything? In 09 he was an unknown. Not anymore.

I agree. He just does it with a lot less flash.

Yesterday was a stress-free fan experience, even before the 5th inning, mainly because Cain was in total control.

BTW: It appears Cain's supposed "Spinkster" issues are a thing of the past. In his last four starts against the Dodgers, he's 3-0 with a 1.30 ERA.

I'd forgotten about that. Tito must be miserable, with Sanchy being the architect of his own loss and Cain emerging as the stopper.

Not to mention how he must feel about the Dodgers running marginally talented white guys like Aaron Miles and Jamey Carroll out there while he wonders where they hid his boy Eugenio.

I think if they can get Rowand into a starting situation somewhere (outside of the NL West) they'll eat a significant portion of his salary. Otherwise I do think Schierholtz is the odd man out. But the Giants have surprised me by making the right moves for 1/2 a year now, irrespective of costs. Because I think the best move is to keep Schierholtz and dump Rowand.

This is how I see it too.

And there's always the chance that someone else will need to go to the DL when Ross is ready to come off, letting the Giants delay the decision to cut ties to either one. Remember how Aurilia survived being cut his last season?

Didn't they even use the Bereavement list once to keep him around?
