checking in

needed a few days recovering from a wedding over labor day (yes, open bar :D)

so far, I've caught up with Beltran being good again and Brett "take the red" Pill raking.

*Unfortunately, dooshbags keep winning.

Panda with an RBI, the only one tonight so far. But still, has seen four pitches all night in three at bats.

A lineup can afford a free swinger if he's surrounded by a few disciplined hitters.

Sign Beltran and sandwich Pablo between him and Posey?

Padres were up on the Snakes, 2-0, now are down 3-2. Snakes keep battling. Padres bullpen melts down late.

Giants' reject Jesus Guzman leads off with a double. Hundley, #5 hitter, then hits one to the right side to advance the runner to 3rd.

That's a genius idea! Why don't the Giants try that once in a while? It might help?

As I noted earlier, we are on pace to score 150 fewer runs than last year, and last year's offense wasn't that great. :eek2:

I don't know. If the price and years are right, I would be OK with it. Not real enthusiastic about what I have seen overall with Beltran, though the last week has been enjoyable.

And the Padres end with a man on third with two weak outs. Snakes win. Again.
