Back in the day, on the Mouse board, Bonds was often referred to as Teh Lord. This is a take off on that.

OTOH, Belt with a great AB so far. Up to 16 pitches. That's usually about two innings worth.

I am curious. It feels to me that the Giants' pitchers have been throwing a lot of pitches. Not at all rare for them to be averaging 20+ pitches an inning. Is that simply a control issue? Or is it that with this putrid offense, they are trying to be too fine, almost perfect? This is really into the weeds stuff, but I would be interested in the thinking.

I lean towards this

With Guys like Sanchez, Zito, the point is moot. But the pitching has to be thinking about it like any mistake = loss.

Lack of confidence in the defense may also contribute to it, too.

Well, the reason we have the second most runners caught is because more are running off us. But yes, we could use improvement there.

Giants are also 6th in the majors in pickoffs with 14. Pale Hose lead with 19.
