Defensive lineup. I like it. If all our lineups are going to go hitless in 10 1/3, we might as well put a stellar D out there...

I'm happy to see Eli sitting too. Still pissed at that useless POS.

And Torres was obviously in need of a break.

Eli, I think, is gone before the end of the season. I think he has lost the confidence of the staff, and for a catcher to do that is a death sentence.

Apparently, a Reds poster has offered us Ramone Hernandez just so we do not send them Zito. I accepted the trade, so hopefully he will be with the team in time for tomorrows game.

Bye Eli, it was real...

I saw that. You're a pretty good GM. Not as good as Tito would be, but still.

Thus disproving my "all Ohioans are idiots" hypothesis.

We all new Torres' success last year was probably a fluke, but none of us wanted to believe it.

1st and 2nd and one out. Can we score? :L

Giants so far with three hits and an error in two innings. Still scoreless.

I didn't see Rowand's out at the plate? Was it a great throw? The left fielder is not known to have a great arm. Or was Rowand slow in tagging? Should he have been sent? Was it deep enough to score? Anyone see it?

Interesting discussion on KNBR today: do you prefer this year's form of baseball (low scoring games) or the steroid video game version of 10 years ago?

I have always liked low scoring games/good fundamentals/good pitching, but watching games this year, (and Giants games in particular) I'm finding that I'm starting to miss the 8-7 games.

I'm starting to wonder if Burriss has very good speed but not great speed.

Count me in on the low scoring, well pitched games. However, this Giants' team does not seem to be constructed for manufacturing runs. No speed. No hit and run. Rare sacrifices. I am amazed and delighted that we are in first and doing as well as we are doing. But we are an offense in search of an identity, I think. :blabla:

Crawford is the man at short. Every time the ball is hit his way, you expect something good to happen. I never felt that way with Rent and Uribe.

At least we had an impressive foul ball in that inning. ;)

Burriss has really turned the stone hands around. He may end up being a keeper after all.
