it's been a trend with Giants pitchers this year - cannot get that last out of an inning near the end of the end.

13 consecutive good starts since Timmah had that rough outing in Denver. Prior to that, ten consecutive good starts after Vogs meltdown in New York. And prior to THAT, nine consecutive good starts after Cain and Bum had back to back poor outings at Denver and vs. Atlanta respectively. All in all, 27 of 29 good games from this staff.
