Lineup:

Torres cf
Tejada 3b
Sanchez 2b
Huff 1b
Ross rf
Rowand lf
Crawford ss
Whiteside c
Bumgarner p

Bochy grasping at anything now...Miggy the only batter with any success vs. McClellan. Pooh has hit one bomb (in 3 AB) vs. Bum.

These are the dark days of being a fan. I can't even go over to the Disney board these days for all the pantshatting.

No Belt??? How does Bochy expect the kid to get in a groove? Please play him over Rowand from now on. We know who Rowand is. We don't yet know who Brandon Belt is. He could be the hitter we're looking for, but he has to play for us to find out.

Belt had a nice hit in his last at-bat yesterday. Went opposite field. Thought that Boch would reward that. I guess not.

Yep. It's kind of a weird lineup. I can see the fear in Bochy's eyes...he's probably panicking.

Huff and Panda (when he returns) are vital to the offense, with or without Belt.

Huff in the outfield hurt both the Giants defense and Huff's overall play. Getting him going at 1B is the best option at the time.

Belt will have to displace one of the other corners. Rowand's is the guy who needs to hit or he sits

happy memorial all

gonna bounce in and out of the game thread.

The Giants are if nothing else a resilient bunch, the dbacks cannot sustain this run (can they?) and the rocks are in similar turbulent waters. Its a long season indeed.

Not me, he was the one pitcher I figured could hit on the Giants. I kinda goofed saying Sanchez can't hit a lick, because this year he's hitting. But until this year he didn't one little bit.

So, no one was.

The Giants pitchers hitting overall is decent.. for pitchers.

It's the little things, like the ability to sacrifice guys over that leaves them sometimes.

For pitchers, I think we're actually below average.

Actually, before this year only MadBum showed ANY hitting ability. Sanchez has surprised me thus far with his bat.

Agreed that most of them are terrible with the bunts, but Timmy's not bad.

Maybe I'm the last one to know about this, but is Huff dealing with an injury? He seemed to move a lot better last year.

He went all out last year. Looked like he was on hobbled knees in the playoffs but still gutted it out.

I think I'm misremembering the convo. I probably contended that Bum, Chez, and Cain are all decent hitters for pitchers. IIRC, someone pointed out Cainer's career BA and I was shut down.

Bum's been cursed with the one bad inning/outing this year. If that was it, consider the Giants fortunate they came out of it with the game still tied.

Upon further review....that "double" was foul. Bad call, costing the Giants a run.
