Vogelsong just may have been the best guy to take the mound today.

It looked like nothing was going to stop him today - be it shoddy defense (weather notwithstanding), unclutch offense, or that Armageddon-like storm they're playing in.

He's unfazed..like "are you kidding me? what I've been through and I'm gonna let some rain deny me my start?" all this while everyone else is huddled under blankets and earmuffs.

**My sister's reporting in from Wrigley - cold, wet, and pissed that this was the one game she was able to go to .. but still having a good time there - lucky azz!

To be fair, their fanbases are far larger and more over the top than the Giants and especially the Dodgers. But it is the usual media market East coast bullshit.

Oh I know, trust me I understand it. I live on the east coast, the only baseball caps I ever see people wearing are for the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, Phillies, and Braves (half these people can't even name their team's starting lineup.) The fact still remains that from a baseball standpoint the Giants-Dodgers is a much better rivalry. From a what do you see on tv more often point of view, then Yankees-Red Sox is better

Well yeah, but that's part of it. Giants and Dodgers fans know their rivalry is heated. Most baseball fans like watching the best players, which the Red Sox and Yankees increasingly have.
