just reviewing the game right now...

Man 3 Errors for the cubbies, 5 Ks for Vogy, 50 pitches through 2.1...

This one looks weird...

Who are these announcers? Is it me, or do they have a bit of a pro-Cubbie agenda?

5 Ks for Vogelsong.

Erik Karos is a Dodger homer, surprised he isn't doing the LA game right now. And the other annoucer I personally don't like very much. He does work for MLB Network as well. He just gets excited a little too much and gets caught watching the game without commentating sometimes.

Not sure what his team is.

I like it.

I can't remember the last time the Giants had a SS with such suspect hands. Uribe/Aurilia etc. might have had limited range, but they caught just about everything they could get to.

Edit: Migg-E Teh Nada. That's his name until further notice. (a little happy birthday on that last play)

You know, he's STILL productive on the White Sox. I can't say I'd mind having him in DeRosa's roster spot, maybe if the Sox are out of it by June.

I brought him up a few days ago. I like the fact that he has played 2nd and 3rd the last few years, could use him as a utility guy. And he still steals some bases.

Wow, what a catch.

Cubs second baseman fell on his way to catching Migg-E's pop up to right. Still made the catch.

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Why have only one when you can have two at twice the price?

Lock Hall of Famer? I think so.

Yea, I contemplated mentioning him. He's the obvious past Giant SS with limited range but EXCELLENT hands.

And, of couse, he threw marshmellows to 1st base, and always seemed to get the runner by a step.

Homer...

Actually, I think he has a chance. Not sure if he would get my vote though. He played in the golden age of SS, after all...

But he has a chance at 3000 hits, a ton of SBs, best fielder ever (equal Ozzie Smith IMO), and he didn't do roids like half those 'golden agers'

The other announcer is a guy named Matt Vasgersian. His last gig was with the Pads in 2009. Found these nuggets:

On March 3, 2009, while participating in a taped chat with Harold Reynolds on MLB Network, Vasgersian misidentified Fernando Valenzuela as Fernando Vina. When corrected by Reynolds, Vasgersian responded, "What the fuck is that?" The network went to black.

On April 28, 2009, while watching Brad Hawpe being taken off the field of play in a neck brace after being hit in the neck by a throw from catcher Nick Hundley, Vasgersian light-heartedly noted that he thought one of the paramedics was Donovan McNabb, the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles. His broadcast partner, former infielder Billy Ripken, asked Vasgersian on air, "Dude, what's wrong with you?". Vasgersian later admitted that he handled the situation in a poor manner.

Biggest marshmallow thowers I ever saw were Greg Litton and Shawon Dunston

Lock? I don't think so, but he isn't too far off. If he gets to 3000 hits then I'd say yes, but he'd have to play another season or two for that. He's at 2811 right now, but he hasn't had 100+ hits in a year since 2007 so we'll see.

Am I being premature to start really liking Vogelsong?
