Nice win! Timmy looked like 2011 Timmy through the first 5 - return of The Freak? Maybe, I dunno, he may not have the stamina to go deep right now, but he was hitting 93 early and had command of his pitches... against a good team too.

I'll take him throwing harder - and with more command - and only going 6 for the rest of the year if that's the case.

The second half Timmy, while still not every start reliable, is starting to emerge. It could be finally coming together for him.

Agreed if he turns into a dominant but only 5-6 inning guy, we'll take it with FYWW.

Yes, nice turnaround game for Timmy, but the Dodgers are not a very good hitting team. Aside from Kemp, as a whole they are pretty bad, much like us in the later years of Teh Lord. Only 87 pitches from Timmy - hope he is OK, or maybe they are saving him a bit. We need needed something besides "Bum and Cain and pray for rain" (apologies to old Milwaukee Braves fans).

The box score says it was a sellout, but the highlights look like it was half-full at best. Dodger fans deserve what they get.

In any case, nice win, and tonight would be good timing for a great game from Cain.

I really like this series so far.

Yeah, and have you noticed no thorn-in-the-side Hairston? Hip surgery likely soon :( Been there done that and it wasn't fun, but 11 weeks off of work was nice.

Timmy's okay. Boch seems to have a new policy now with how he handles Timmy and Zito. He will err on the side of taking them out too early rather than a little too late. I heard in the postgame show that Timmy screamed a few words in the dugout after he was taken out after only 87 pitches. He's fine.

Timmeh has a fire in him, that is for sure.

Now, if he can only use it to be competitive instead of to light the bong, we will all be grateful...

Hope so. We will more than likely win this division if Cy Timmy comes back.

I'm one that often ponders if he needs to light the bong MORE to get right...

Who was the pitcher from the '70s who threw a no-hitter while trippin' on acid. I heard that story somewhere. Maybe Tom Tolbert was telling it. I think Tolbert said that the guy was talking to the ball.

Doc Ellis of the Pirates. Perhaps the most outrageous sports story of all-time.

Snopes.com notes that he was probably well on his way 'down' from the LSD he took many hours before game time. Then again, still awesome.
