I think it is one of two things...

1) His HORRID AB in the third (unlikely)

2) His foot is acting up (likely, seeing how slow he run up the line on that grounder)

Does Bochy have zero faith in Bumgarner? I just don't understand some of these decisions. He pulls Bumgarner with an 8 run lead, but leaves Cain in when he has given up 9 runs.

It just seems to me like Bochy has far more confidence in guys like Cain, Zito, Affeldt, etc.

Bumgarner got burnt one time and Bochy just seems to have an easy trigger in regards to pulling Bumgarner

Totally different situations...Cain much earlier in game, with the Giants way down in the score vs Bum late in a game where he has a big lead.
