I would not hit an elite power guy #2, no.

The point of the #3/4 hitters is about getting guys in. If you hit one of those guys 2, than you have him coming up right after the dregs of the lineup.

I would hit Gwynn 2. I would hit Boggs 2. I would hit Brett 2. I would NOT hit Pujols, Hamilton, Fielder (either one) or Griffey Jr 2. I think the point in the article was more against hitting a corpse 2 than moving your stud to 2.
