They are exhausted. I think a lot of teams just learned how you beat the 49ers now. Short passing game that replaces the running game. The 49ers cannot rush the passer and he can exploit the secondary at will. I bet we see a lot of this in the coming weeks. I think the 49ers are going to take a good lesson away from this game as well but without any pass rush there is not much they can do against a crisp short passing attack. Perhaps we'll see a few blitz packages developed to try and rectify this deficiency.
