I gotta admit the Sharks are so much more fun to watch with the 3 slugs that just got traded off the team. One of them is okay but all three were in the lineup on many nights. The Sharks have quickly changed their identity in the way they can play 5 on 5.

I don't think it was a bad chance to take, those usually don't get blocked. I think you would have to credit Couture with a good play more than Backstrom with a bad play.

Probably so: It's just that he seems to be leaving the crease & challenging for the puck more this year than last IMO, which can lead to situations like that.
