I haven't noticed Colin White the last couple games (I think since he's been with Burns).....that's a good thing. Maybe he's starting to get in a comfort zone.

Wow, Coyotes run interference extremely well. This time Winchester doesn't have the puck and gets lassoed to the boards.

Sharks gaining some momentum here, but they need a goal.

Shit, Pavs and Marleau collide and Patty takes out Smith. Goaltender interference. Well, it's going to be a huge hill to climb in the 3rd against the boa'esque grip of the Coyotes defense.

yotes are playing a great defensive game and smith has made a few sparkling saves...

The real difference so far has been smith vs. griess. The first goal griess and braun misplayed and the second smith woulda made the stop. Its a pretty even game, but the sharks are definitely being outworked in the smaller areas along the boards and most importantly in the circle. They are just 29% in the circle and against tough defensive teams, puck possession and speed teams like the sharks really have to win those draws.

On the bright side, the PK has been reasonable.

Sharks still need a legit 3rd line. The bottom 6 has scored just 2 goals in the last 11 games. That's not gunna cut it long term...

Burns had an excellent shift there on the PP keeping the puck in.

3rd blatant interference when a Shark doesn't have a puck by the Coyotes.

sharks seem like they are losing just every draw... they had 3 or 4 Offensive zone draws on the PP and lost all of 'em... that's terrible. Down to 37% now and excluding handzus (the only positive guy) the sharks are 6-19.

Lucky break (no pun intended) there for the Sharks. Makes up for some of the interferences in the game. Now the Sharks desperately need one here as the refs know they missed one.

BTW, Thornton is the worst superstar I can remember with lifting the puck from in tight.

Sharks can't win a faceoff to save their lives. That's been suffocating to their comeback attempt. They're probably not going to get a fair shake from the refs for the rest of the game either due to the bad call on Burns/Vrbata.

Not looking good, our boys need a quick one here.

yeah and with phoenix totally gassed and boyle wheeling around behind the net, jumbo was below the goal line rather being near thecrease to be an option for boyle. Jumbo has had an awful game. 30% in the circle, -1 and just 1 shot despite roughly 4 mins of PP playing time. He has to be better...

Yup

Ooh, Marleau finds Pavs, but the puck is on edge and Pavs just misses up high. Damn, nice try there though. Sharks starting to come alive there.
