Interesting to hear McLellan say that the refs came over to the Sharks bench between the 2nd and 3rd periods and admit the call on Desjardins was a bad one.

Also per Kurz the match penalty has already been recinded by the league.

How is Jamal Mayers even in the NHL? This guy is a waste of a roster spot. It's obvious that he knows nothing about the game by the comments he made and how he plays on the ice. Nothing to see here, just AHL fodder.

If Mayers really did say that, I lost a lot of respect for him. Unless he just didn't see the replay and ends up taking it back.

He's a tough guy who dishes out hits like that himself. He should know when it's a legit hit and he should congratulate the dude who popped him for landing a good, solid hockey hit.

Anyway, the better team won last night. What can you do? Way too many mistakes in their own zone for the Sharks.

I personally like how Desi has developed into a solid 3/4 line player, hes looking like he might be a good one down the road in that roll. Nothing special on offense just a good skating hard forechecking and hitting defensive player. Potential shut down guy
