i'm sure this has been discussed, but how exactly do they make sure there is always one there? is there like a club or something? do they have meetings to decide who goes to what game?

It was discussed in the PAC-12 Thread, ill try to go find it to confirm, but it's something like this guy mails it out to someone going to be at gameday.

I talked to one of them at a Gameday in Madison. They basically have a list of games that are likely to get Gameday and have an online group where people volunteer. It's all planned months in advance, and a lot of those guys cover pretty big regions.

You have to give them credit, though. Outside of Ryan Leaf, that's probably the most famous thing associated with Washington State football.
