Our D-Line should put lots of pressure on Wes Lunt. He is all about staying in the pocket.

He has no rushes this season.

illini's run D was sad against UNC, so we need to take advantage of that especially if it's going to be windy as FNG said above (no clue if it will be as Saturday is still a long way away).

defensively, i'd like to see our guys be more aggressive. this illini team isn't an offensive juggernaut, lunt is only a 60% passer, there running attack is mediocre. if we keep stopping the run and make them a one dimensional passing team it will be good practice for our DBs and hopefully gain some confidence. and if they don't step up, it will be along day again.

hope we step on their throat early, but you just never know with this team.

They had question on Big Red Wrapup last night on who should be starting RB and Jano had something like 25% and was 2nd most votes

eh, i've been hearing it, but don't think Jano is really an option at RB. i think they have to get away from the zone read and just tell Newby where to run so he can run fast to that spot maybe tell him to look for a crease on either side but don't make him actually choose a hole like you do on zone read.

Nebraska last lost to Illinois in 1924, when Red Grange(the Galloping Ghost) was there.

Illinois was mauled by North Carolina . two NC running backs ran for over 100 yards.

Illinois completely fell apart in the second half of the North Carolina game. North Carolina successfully pounded the rock, and Illinois gave in.

Illinois should not be able to run.

This should be a Nebraska win.

2 reasons why I don't think you can chalk this up as a win.

1) It's on the road.

2) Anyone who can pass the ball in any way, shape or form can beat us. Illinois can pass the ball in some way, shape or form.
