I could see a scenario where The Hound, The Mountain and Arya duel it out and only one comes out alive. So far nothing has been all that shocking this season, hopefully this could provide some shock value.

I've been very tired with the whole Arya storyline and would have no issue if they killed her off.

Scrolling through this thread makes me realize I must be a casual fan considering I didn't know people actually differentiated between the dragons.

I suppose that stems from the fact that I never read the books.
If the shoe fits... :suds:

Rhaegal is green and gold. Drogon dwarfs Rhaegal and is black and red.

Funny, she's my favorite character. Loved her book chapters too.

I'd definitely feel differently had I read the books. It wasn't until she went to Braavos that I started to dislike her plot line. I loved when she was with The Hound though and I'm happy to see them together again.

And yet I like the Hobbit better. But of course I never read any of the books and only watched LOTR for the first time right before the Hobbit movies because supernerds were finally starting to shut the fuck about it.
I liked them both, but I got the distinct impression, especially starting with the 2nd Hobbit movie, that the movie’s were being padded for length and that the dialogue wasn’t too crisp. I occasionally feel the urge to rewatch a LOTR movie, but I could go the rest of my life without ever seeing CGI dwarf Billy Connolly again.

Oh trust me I know, I think LOTR is one the most overhyped things in existence. People always talk about things like GOT, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, etc where they are overhyped to all hell and then you watch them and they aren't as amazing as people told you they were but for me personally that's never been more true of LOTR.

The first Lord of the Rings was not great.

The second was

Third......ok

I feel like Arya's arc has been deliberate and worth it considering what she did

Like we got a "hero of winter fell" cheer for her spending like two or three seasons in dog shit.

So I took no issue with her killing a way over confident NK

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is happy they didn't make the Jaime Lannister and Brienne sex scene graphic. Seeing some 7 foot woman with more testosterone than Ray Lewis have sex would probably give me PTSD.

On the other hand, I have to admit I have a sick interest in how a Tyrion and Sansa sex scene would play out. That's probably just because I want to see Sansa naked.
You sure?

• Missandei's death is the show at its racist and misogynistic worst. They literally put her back in chains before chopping her head off to further the plot of other (white/male) characters.

Well it furthers the plot of Grey worm, so I guess being 50% right is ok (in baseball)
or
it furthers the plot of Dany. Again being 50% right is ok .......

That whole link is pretty stupid honestly.

Jon's the drunk friend who will throw down no matter the odds

His honor is unimpeachable. Which means he will die.

I look back and from a logical sense his choices are ridiculous but his heart....his heart is always clean. How can you not root for this guy?

I think back and for me it's Jon's story. If they wrap it that way even with the sloppy ending it's a great story.

Meh. People have expectations. The show is going away, and some want a good ending, or at least something on par with what they've seen the previous 7 seasons. Taking such a long break in-between seasons and then coming back with only 6 episodes isn't very endearing to fans, let alone technical snafus like a highly touted penultimate battle that may as well take place in pitch blackness.

And so far a lot of expectations have not been met. that is why I said it seems like everyone has a gripe.

I think the real problem is we are more than likely going to get a true to text ending but without the depth to explain it

So it will be that much more WTF

One has to wonder....

Which of these shows has the bigger disasters at weddings?

Game of Thrones?

Or pro wrestling?

Another thing I have thought about, they make a point to show Euron's face when Cersei chooses not to make a pincushion out of Tyrion. Nothing is done by accident (except the Starbucks cup), so I wonder if Euron starts to realize that Cersei doesn't have the balls to kill her brother when given the chance and may decide to skip town or leave her hanging to save his own hide.
