the show lacks that bite that GRRM brings to the table.

why didn't they give us a Night King sword fight with Jon or even Theon? Instead you have Theon charging from a mile away...why? That should have been a Rufio moment kind of fight.

if they kept with the books and they had Arya dreaming of Nymeria's hunts, it would make sense...but the show has abandoned the direwolf storyline.

I mean seriously, all you have to do is look at posts in this thread from the last week to see all the intrigue and wonder that had been created and built up. Didn't see anyone guess, Arya stabs NK and all fall down and we move on to the battle with Cersei..... Wonder why?

I was on Alt Shift X's live post show chat last night for a while. Someone suggested that Arya took the face of an Other in order to get close to the NK. Just before she attacks, the camera panned over his generals and one of them turns its head and looks.

Still have a feeling there will be a new NK before this is said and done. There has to be something more significant to Winter story.

the scene of Dany and the dragon curled up around them was very nice.

I do like that Grey Worm lived despite being #1 or #2 on everyone's dead pool list. A) Because I've always kind of liked him for some reason and B) because it seemed the writers actually managed to subvert our expectations, and not use one of the common TV/movie tropes, something they haven't been that great at since passing the books.

The dickless army had no fear at all, they never tired, and they would follow every command even if it meant a quick death.

He was an honorable guy on top of all that. I like that he is still alive.
