there's a lot of speculation in there, but I feel like "Hey Tyrion, guess what, you're a Targaryen too!" twist isn't going to have as much an effect now that they are already doing that with Jon

he was completely justified there, just like the options dany offered sams kin were reasonable. the writers get lazy at times.

Okay, clearly this is "Book Lore" that only a Targaryen can ride a dragon, because that "rule" hasn't really been established anywhere in the show.... Also, you'd think Dany would know this little factoid and thus, NOT ask her boyfriend to get on the dragon?

I think Sam may be more upset about his brother, his father not as much. In fact I think he may blame his Randall more than Dany for his brother's death as Rickon was basically just following their father's lead.
