At the 16 second mark of the episode 4 preview video clip, it looks like we see the bad-ass Valyrian steel dagger from Season One...... this was the weapon the assassin used to attempt to kill Bran. Later in the first season, Ned Stark had the dagger on his office desk in King's Landing, and then I believe Littlefinger took possession of the dagger when he helped to betray Ned.

ALSO

I decided to re-watch the first three episodes of this season, and I just finished episode #1, and I realize the image of this same dagger is in the book Sam is reading when he turns the page and learns about the location of the dragonglass deposit on Dragonstone.

Check out episode #1 around the 52 minute mark and you will see this dagger's image in the book.

Apparently ep 4 leaked?

Will not be watching it

I did. It is available and I figured watching it tonight meant I didn't have to stay up late watching it tomorrow. I'll do it anyways because it was epic. No spoilers but there is a scene with Bron and Dickon Tarley that will make you laugh out loud.

Kind of what I think happens although I also think at some point Jamie and the gang give chase and somehow encounter the White Walkers in the process and end up being involved in the big battle. Not sure how that plays out but I can't help but think they are part of it.

Was a thought of mine as well. Maybe the Lannister army gets lured North and gets overrun by the White Walkers...

I'm fairly certain every season has a new opening credits and doesn't bother with what is in any particular episode.

Edit: this was in reply to the guy asking why the wall was in the opening credits.
I think they do tweak the song just a bit between seasons, but the "map" changes every episode.

Question. Forgive me if it has already been addressed... Is the Dorne army out of play? Did Euron sink Yara's fleet before or after they picked up the Dornish?

Someone somewhere mentioned that the ships in Yara's fleet were manned with skeleton crews when Euron attacked because they were on their way to Dorne. If this is the case, tbat army is still intact, yes?

What would be the most ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME as they sit on the sword throne at the very end?

For me it would be the mad king who came back thanks to the Knight King. But it would be full circle from fire to ice.

GoT will end after a huge battle that ends in a stalemate. They all look around and decide democracy is the better option and they elect some random dude to be President of Westeros

That's correct. The Dornish army is still intact. However, it's unclear who is now in charge of that army, and whether that person would be loyal to Daenerys.

Dorne is a political mess because they no longer have any leadership...everybody of importance is dead... so at this point, Dorne is effectively out of the conflict. Imagine the US government with all three branches destroyed/dead (all Whitehouse staff and cabinet members dead... plus all congress members and staffs dead...plus all federal judges dead)... with the only thing remaining being the military and intelligence agencies....it would be chaos...the agencies and military would somehow have to find a way to reform the US government.

Unless some charismatic general can quickly unite Dorne, they are out of the game for quite a long time.

Good catch, though in looking back the text of it doesn't really add anything more.

Pfft, that's when Keifer becomes president, and all is well.

I have heard the final scene has already been filmed...

an old man (played by Peter Falk) closes the final book of the ASOIAF series and his grandson (played by Fred Savage) complains that there was too much dick in the story and that it was ghey. He asks his grandfather to read him the "other" book tomorrow.
I knew it! I totally fucking called this.
