I don't have any gauge on the actual drum. I use a maverick wireless thermometer instead. For a "quality" dial thermometer you'd spend at least $30-50, so I passed and got the maverick which was barely more and came with a free set of bear paws on amazon. Haha. I like the maverick because it has two probes and a wireless receiver that you can put in your pocket. That, along with the Party-Q, I've got enough things telling me what my meat and bbq temp is that I can't justify buying a manual dial thermometer. Can't beat that with a stick.Those are great, I need to instal another gauge on mine right under the meat grate, all I got is one on the top but it's not where it needs to be
Still trying to figure out a good balance for mixing in my wood for a steady light smoke, but I'll get there.
