And both received another assist from KC's horrid pick 6 that was read from jumpstareet by Malcolm Jenkins. KC need to be out there with the ST and Davis.

Far as game balls. The front seven led by RK in what was his best game as a Redskin and the OL are excellent choices.

As I mentioned in another thread - Cousins needs to eliminate these type of mistakes to be the long term QB for the Redskins. However - he should also be commended for the way that he played after that mistake. He didn't let it bother him & he played very well (should have had another TD if Jackson didn't drop one).

This is what is somewhat frustrating about Cousins - he can be very good & also very bad in the very same game. Hopefully he gets this out of his system for the remainder of the season just like he did last year.

Have to err on the side of Davis and Redskins. Gruden said the league sent a video showing all the things they were not allowed to do and shooting a basket wasn't one of them. At the same time I always like the Riggins theory "act like you have been here before."

I understand & appreciated how Riggins & Barry Sanders responded in that way after a TD. However - this was around the same time that the Redskins had the Fun Bunch which I thought was one of the better things in sports. There was no malice or "in your face" type of intent - just some players (and fans) having a good time. I hate the fact that the NFL is trying to remove even a hint of this from the game. All part of the Goodell philosophy of basically giving the fans the finger.

Spiking is not using the ball as a prop the way spinning it as a top or shooting it as if it's a basketball.

Interesting that you bring up spinning. They used to call a penalty for that. However - I have seen many players do this recently & I don't recall seeing one penalty for this over the last several years.

In the links I found the NFL later clarified the rule and it only aplies if they spin it at an opposing player.

Thanks. I wish that some of these players would act like men & not be so thin skinned when players celebrate. I think that a lot of this started when those a-hole Cowboys defenders tried to break up the Fun Bunch celebration ages ago. Babies! How about trying to play defense instead of worrying about celebrations?

Yeah I have deviated from my label an Angry Old White Man for years by being just fine with celebrations. This goes back to Mark Gastano's sack dance, Butch Johnson's six shooters, the antics of Chad Johnson, all of it. Making a big play in the NFL is hard, I have no problem with celebrations as long as you are not taunting your opponent.

The only problem I have is when your team is getting tattooed and you dance around like you are completely clueless. have some self awareness and use some common sense once in a while.

Oh yeah, but he is not the only one. Landry would piss me off when he would make a tackle 25 yards down the field, after a big play, and jump up and celebrate like the play never happened. Dude, you were just doing your job.

Players have been flagged for rocking the ball like a baby in a cradle. That's a lot less propy than spiking it.

even though it was a loss ... i'm still going to go through the motions

on defense my game ball is going to will blackmon ... he had a great game with some key pass break up & he stepped up when Norman went down. I would have liked to seen him go head first into Boldin instead of jumping over him on the last play of the game however.

on offense my game ball is going to cousins ... easily his best performance of the season. He showed good foot work & pocket awareness moving around & even hustling down the field for a rushing TD. He was slinging the balls into tight spots & his accuracy was spot on except when he was forced to rush throws because of pressure. He must learn to eat the sack & live to play another day.

my gasser is going to the hogs 2.0. They made the lions DL look like all pros. I hope they give Williams this week off ... plus we have the bye-week following which will give him plenty of time to get right ... but once he is rested he, Lauvau & Long can go run laps for this weeks pitiful performance.

I just want to point out to people who is leading the NFL in sacks. Sometimes, STs guys develop into players.

Waiting 12 years into a player's career when he's age 33 is quite the long time to wait for said development wouldn't you say? Until this year Lolo had started 16 games and had 9 sacks....for his entire career.

I'm happy for him cuz I've always liked him, but he's 4 years removed from being a member of the Washington Redskins. Its a little late for a "See, I told you we shouda player X." voice from the wilderness to speak up now.

Oh, that is an eternity. This makes me wonder if he should have been given a chance sooner. Also, remember how much of a team player he was...position change after position change.

I've got a game ball for Hopkins who had a solid day hitting on 4 of 4 FG

& Preston Smith who tallied 2 sacks & an INT help seal the victory.

Chris Thompson has got to hold onto the ball, especially at the in of the half ... and for that fumble he has earned a gasser and go run a lap.
