re: game 7's. very exciting as long as your team is not playing. my wife always asks me why i watch if it is so stressful, and sometimes i wonder if she hasn't hit on something genius. then i remember, as much as i hate it, I FUCKIN LOVE IT!

Is it just me, or do the Hawks play much better when Seabrook is not in the lineup?

never underestimate the value of a martyr

I'm so fucking nervous already.
They were the better team yesterday... that's a positive sign.
as BWF mentioned, the hawks finally started to look gassed as the game drew deep.
high tempo, hit every fucking thing that moves, and they should be fine.

Is Schneider OK (to either start or back up) - If not, do we pull Eddie Lack away from his own Game 7 on Tuesday?
Reports are it was only cramping... who knows.

The last time a team was taken to seven games in the opening round of the playoffs and went on to win the Stanley Cup was back in 1991 (the Mario Lemieux led Pittsburgh Penguins). Either way, history is not on the side of either the Canucks or Hawks to lift Lord Stanley's holy grail.

I wouldn't necessarily blame the NHL...perhaps the arena had a scheduling conflict with another event. :)

Since I last posted, I checked the schedule at TD Garden. The only things scheduled are Bruins and Celtics playoff games. The Bruins played Saturday, so unless there is something else scheduled in Montreal, they should have scheduled game 6 for tonight with game 7 Wednesday. The Celtics played yesterday in NY so they must have had the Garden saved on Tuesday for game 5 if needed. All I know is there's no reason for back to back games in the playoffs. I don't believe any other series had back to back games.

Out of curiosity does anyone agree or disagree with my comment on game sevens at home? Post # 5

yeah, crowd can be huge, and also you get your line-matches.
that's been fairly key in this series - the hawks have been especially rigid about it.

I agree to an extent, I think if the road team scores early it can suck the life out of a place and deflate the team.

especially with how this series has gone.
If the hawks get the first one, you will be able to cut the tension in that place with a knife.

simple solution: Nucks should score first..., and 2nd, and 3rd, and......

IMO Game seven is the one game in a series that home ice is important to have. BOTH teams are focused, there is no tomorrow if you lose and you have the home crowd going nuts.

its what you play for in the regular season. that if you come to this moment you would rather it be at home. canucks have a good home crowd. a good home record. and last change is very important in this one with bolland
