It's quite difficult to avoid very high quality scoring opportunities for your opponents be handed on a silver platter, when you've got a guy like Kronwall, who thinks that his sideline job is to play police investigator and chase every suspect on skates all over the ice. He even has some of the other dmen with him at times when he calls for backup, as was the case oin that first goal yesterday. And to think that some of the fans of the Wings actually refer to him as Nick Jr. That, to me, is an insult to #5's reputation. He's not remotely close to Nick's ability. For one thing, Kronwall can't think; he's not very bright; but, I guess the same cn be said for others on this team, like Homer, Hudler, and Abby. That, actually, is a necessary requirement on any team to be consistently successful, especially when things must get ramped up, as they must be in the playoffs, which, at times, it's difficult to distinquish between the Wings energy level in the regular season from that of the playoffs. But, to be fair, when trying to compare the intellect of some of these guys on this team to that of Pavel, there is quite a bit of space on a IQ chart for most of them from where his score must be; and, that shows whenever he's on the ice because he makes his decisions in what appears to be milliseconds.Shocking result.
Honestly not trying to rub it in Wings fans, but I am stunned that Nashville managed to take both at the Joe with how good Detroit was at home this year.
