Hard to believe Patty is at 60 career playoff goals, and 11 gwg

man... what a fucking game... Sharks overcame SO much adversity this game. Tough refs early. huge momentum midway through the second after the gaborik goal. Tough goal in the first first of the 3rd. and...

They answered every one of em. And who saved their butts? two rookies!!?? Hertl and Nieto!! This is the difference. patty, jumbo, pavs, and cooch were shutout in regulation but the depth got them to OT and gave the big dogs a chance.

That's three games in which the depth players are the keys to the W. I LOVE IT!!

Ana just had robi's leg break and they are not half as deep as the sharks. That's a great matchup for SJ if the sharks can finish this off, not to mention that if they can do it in four, they will have nearly 2 weeks of break time before the second round while the ducks are in a tough series with dallas.

I hate getting too excited, but this really does feel different. This LA team is damn good and the sharks are up 3-0. Amazing.

Wow - HUGE win by the Sharks tonight.. and I like the fact that TWICE the Sharks have battled through BS calls and a losing score on the scoreboard to bring home a win.

I have always been very critical of Patty but I thought he played a solid game tonight and I like karma getting him his 60th.

Not the way I was hoping that OT would go.. talk about getting Maytag-ed - I can't believe the Kings didn't figure out a way to get a goal in... we were REALLY running around in our zone there.

Well - This is a SOUL CRUSHING win for us tonight. Kings brought their A game tonight and unlike our previous meetings we won in their house - coming back twice iirc. We are in great position and need to come out with a strong and disciplined game 4. Kings will be desperate with all the pressure on them. We need to keep playing our game and stick a fork in this bad boy.

Great win... Sharks 3-0!

THIS..

Those two are just studs. 4th line is also a big, big change from our previous teams. Your top guys are never going to just dominate in the POs.. everyone is paying attention to them. When you get some guys like this that create those matchup problems and contribute on BOTH sides of the ice it make a difference.

Love Logan's interview too... "Win game 4, finish them. Dont give a team any life. We have had a 3-0 lead and then a game 7 - we dont want that."

Sounds like a plan!

The Sharks are starting to have the KILLER instinct, lets see if they can finish the series Thursday night.

This was LA's best effort and they didnt have enough and now this lose crushes any positives if they had any.

Nemo deserves some credit as well, that 3rd goal was actually tipped by Carter and he still got a piece of it, it just made it look worse because he got a piece of it lol. He held down the fort in the OT.

4th line needs to get going again though, but hey considering the sharks pretty much got outworked the entire game with exceptions with a few moments in the game. A win is a win lol.

I agree the sharks need to close this series out in 4. Wingels is banged as is Brauny, the more rest the better. I woldnt be shocked if something is bugging Ralphie he slowed down alot this game

they played hard and didn't let some obvious no-calls rattle them

Big win tonight. I am curious to see what happened to Braun and Wingles. No surprise that it was Patty coming up clutch again.

When you have a 2-0 lead on a team like LA and you push a game to OT you have to close it out. Don't give them any momentum.

From Pollak's blog:

Consider: Each of the four Western Conference series have reached the fourth game. Here are the combined hit totals for both teams in all the action to this point –

St. Louis and Chicago: 181 hits.
Anaheim and Dallas: 187 hits.
Colorado and Minnesota: 189 hits.
San Jose and Los Angeles: 312 hits.

Not a misprint. The Sharks and Kings have bounced off each other with so much greater frequency that I had to double-check the math. No, not every hit was bone-jarring, but they do add up.

We need to sweep on Thursday and rest. If we let this turn into s long series, the winner will be too beat up to make it past the next round.
