Will be an interesting matchup. One of the best power plays against one of the best penalty kill. On the other hand, one of the worst power plays against one of the worst penalty kills. Something's gotta give right?


BTW congrats to Lindros & Leclair, both well deserved

I really think the flyers need to go with a message sending game. jumble up all the lines, those playing the best/hardest, play the most. if that means your top line ends up being Rinaldo/Bellemare/Voracek, so be it.

I don't want to see lecavalier or umberger pulling down 2nd or 3rd line minutes because they're veterans. they're garbage, and they're playing like garbage. put them on the 4th line.

and I think at this point you almost have to split up Giroux and Voracek. they get 0 production from any other line. They're probably the most dynamic pair in the league right now, but they can't play 60 minutes to try to keep it competitive. every minute neither of them is on the ice, is another minute the flyers get dominated.

I would like to see Giroux or Voracek work with Simmonds. I think they could have quite the 1-2 punch between a playmaker and a power forward if they did it like that.

it'd have to be G.. Simmer/Voracek both play RW and don't get comfy on the other side.. unfortunately.

I want Scott Laughton to play more than seven minutes - I think Hexy needs to send a message to Chief and make it known that he needs to play guys like that more than what he did last night

Maybe A-Mac or Luke Schenn returns tonight, which could help - but this team needs more life - I want to see a game changing play that gets this team back in the right direction

I agree. Very little sense to have Laughton come up and play 7 minutes. Send him back to the A and give him top minutes rather than 7 minutes/night in the NHL.

Better yet, give him Umberger's minutes. A 3 legged horse with Parkinson's could probably achieve as much as Umberger out there.

We need more of an offensive game-changing plays but left to the players to figure out how to "spark" their offense, we end up with Rinaldo getting a penalty which is simply boneheaded. I think Hextall is going to have to step in here and confer with Berube on how the Flyers are going to derive a more dynamic game out of this roster than what we are now getting on a nightly basis as we slip into mediocrity oh so slowly.

A lot more energy than last night. Perhaps the Flyers need Hextall to yell at them periodically. Still has not translated into goals yet but we shall see.
