Game Thread: G7 3-1-2 Kings @ Vegas 10/22/24

It's game day and a late one, 8pm start in Vegas. There are 16 games today all starting 15 minutes apart, wild night if you have Center Ice. Game is on ESPN and a national broadcast. Hope they don't shit the bed.

No lineup changes expected although Kuemper skated in an optional skate this morning with Copley indicating Rittich will most likely start again for the fourth time. This game concludes the 7 game road trip and the home opener is Thursday.

Big opportunity to see how the Kings stack up against a playoff contender, Vegas defense is big and mobile so this will not be an easy game. And you just know that hobo Stone will score against LA, just has a knack for putting pucks in the net against the Kings.

Tanner Pearson should be in their lineup tonight at LW3, his collision with Doughty in preseason created the broken ankle and ligament damage, while I don't feel it was anything malicious maybe an extra jab here or there from say Edmundson would be nice to see. Vegas always plays physical, return the favor.

Prediction: Vegas 4-2, Kings goals by Fiala and Dunno who finally gets on the board.

Vegas is 3-0 at home, all their losses have been on the road. That place is obnoxious too, could be a good statement win.

Just no shifts off and sure would be nice to see Buster make an impact.

If he was truly only 63....remember there being some speculation/rumors that came out 15 or so years ago, alluding to him being close to 30 years old when he was supposedly only 20 when he won the ROY & CY in 1981 (which still was quite the accomplishment). Remember a line from a Johnny Carson monologue that the only English he could pronounce was, "More Money!"
