Karma police. Arrest this man.
Every time I watch him play, I'm going to think to myself "it's that ****er guy".
Riley Cooper statement on his inappropriate language:
“I am so ashamed and disgusted with myself. I want to apologize. I have been offensive. I have apologized to my coach, to Jeffrey Lurie, to Howie Roseman and to my teammates. I owe an apology to the fans and to this community. I am so ashamed, but there are no excuses. What I did was wrong and I will accept the consequences.”
I'm not saying Cooper's a racist by any means.
Herm Edwards statement was stupid, though. Cooper or any other person for that matter can choose to be around black people and still be racist. I think Herm has "racist" confused with "bigot / Klan member"
Every time I watch him play, I'm going to think to myself "it's that ****er guy".
I understand that Michael Vick is trying to help him clan up this mess. It seems quite ironic that both Cooper and Vick may learn much about forgiveness and racial differences from this.
I am in Okinawa. The locals don't know about American predjudice. They only see our military living and working together. No black or white - all green. Does rascism still exist? Yes, it is just not allowed to play out. Team first. The same thing is happening in football. It is precisely that each player has bought into "team first" that this act is so harmful. The other players have put aside their own baggage. This is not about black and white. The word is not the issue. This is about disgracing your teammates.
Any white man or woman who uses the word n***er in anger is a racist.
But not a black person who says it in anger right?
What if someone 1/4 black & 3/4 white says it?
