while stationed in Bremerton

we had a clan of about 5 dudes that would take the Budget sound ferrie to Seattle for our nitly entertainment we had our times at pier 52 --hibbles and hyde --and astor park

then we road the ferrie back to our favorite eatin place in Bremerton --- the in and out cafe

my favorite was this -- bowl of chili --grilled cheese sammich --pickeles and some chips

Very cool - squid thread!

Let's see, I did two westpacs too; first one on the lincoln for operation desert storm, second one was on the cape cod, but we did a flyway mission halfway through (flew out of bahrain) to go to the yard in bremerton to work on the arkansas and the california. The shipyard guys were too busy doing a SRA on the carl vinson so we had to come all the way out from the gulf to work on those other ships (saved me 3 months off the westpac so I didn't complain).

Never got to go to australia, but been to hong kong twice, yakuska, singapore, phillipines, st thomas, rio de janeiro, valparaiso chile, and flown in and out of naples, rota, amsterdam, and the ridiculously boring azores islands. Not sure if I'm missing something some but I might be.

What was your rating pops? I was a machinist mate / engineering laboratory technician.

BTW, I crossed the line twice, first time as a slimy wog of course, second time on the cod, was a co-ed vessel, so I had a chick as my wog dog and got in a shitload of trouble for what I did to her (don't ask).
