So after seeing the results of day one what do the Pats do? 6 of the 25 players invited to ChiTown are still there.

Makes NE sitting pretty at the end of RD 2!! Lots of talent left, and some big names too. I think NE trades one for a couple 3rd picks and a 4th. I think they will be picking about 4 times in the 3rd RD come tomorrow. I believe there are few teams with multiple picks in the 3rd...

The Patriots still have wait for 29 more players to be taken and those six will be gone.

This is a passing game today and DE & DT are the wealth of this draft. Teams took WR and other players who can help the offensive side because defensive quality is so available. Look carefully at the defensive players taken and all of them are best against the pass. Perfect example is Pittsburgh. They took Artie Burns a CB out of Miami. Most draftniks had him late 2nd or early 3rd round, some even had him as late as the 4th round. Why would the Steelers take a player like that? Because they gave up 4350 yards passing last year and other teams were scooping up the "known" corners. It's panic time and once one team decides to do something a bit different this draft will swing into outer space.

Except Belichick. He'll stay his course unless he can get something better from another team. I think he'll trade out of either 60 or 61 and pick up a 4th and a 5th round pick. The Pats pick two in the 2nd and two in the 3rd and have to wait for the 6th where he has 5 picks. He may even trade out of both and pick up multiple picks plus a couple next year.

Well Pitt secondary was terrible last yr so the needed help. Jacks and Smith might fall, but I can see the Titans or Jags make a play for them with the amount of picks the have in the 2nd. I expect the top DT to be taken also, but it's OK. The guys BB wants will be right there waiting for them....I hope. LOL

I wouldn't mind seeing the Pats trade one of their 2nd's. Possibly package it for an early 3rd and a 4th or 5th? BB could get quite creative packaging a 2nd, 3rd and 6th/7th? Get some 4th and 5th out of them as well as something for next season. BB is in a good place with their current roster. They don't need to reach anywhere. But I'd like to see at least one 2nd round talent come to NE this year. Go Pats 8 hours and counting.

Another short DB. His upside is his versatility. Been a WR and RB. Also a returner. Just has average speed with a 4.49 40. Nothing jumps off the page on him. Hopefully, he replaces Logan:hope:

So far just, meh. Luckily NE didn't have huge holes. These first two picks fill potential future gaps.

The one strong upside with picking Cyrus Jones is that Edelman has (hopefully) returned his last punt in the NFL. I cringed every time he fielded a punt and ran it back. Hopefully, this will help minimize his chances of serious injuries (of course, that possibility can never be totally eliminated). Still waiting for a RB and WR. Surprisingly, RB's like Booker and Howard and, I think, Dixon are still out there. Also some good WR's are left. However, with only one pick in the 4th and all the rest in the 6th and 7th, the talent pool will drop off sharply after their next pick.

Fucking dumb pick.
Really?

NCState_logo.gif Jacoby Brissett, QB, N.C. State
Height: 6-3. Weight: 231. Arm: 32.88. Hand. 9.5.
40 Time: 4.94.
Projected Round (2016): 3-5.

4/25/16: In 2015, Brissett completed 60 percent of his passes for 2,662 yards with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. Sources with teams say that Brissett is a sleeper quarterback who they're keeping an eye on. As we reported in the rumormill, some east coast scouts rate Brissett ahead of other more highly touted prospects like Penn State's Christian Hackenberg

We got a WR.

Patriots select Georgia WR Malcolm Mitchell with their fourth-round pick (112th overall). He is 5-foot-11 5/8, 198 pounds and he has been compared by some as a Hines Ward-type with his style of play.
