What a catch!
Did you see any of the Stanford game? Not exactly looking like world beaters at the moment themselves. And it's at home.stanford up next. not sure i see a winning scenario there
Clay won't last the season!!fireclayhelton.com too soon?
Even if Daniels is back 100% next week, we lose 3 out of the next 4. I was unimpressed last night. The announcers kept mentioning how scaled back the play book is and how much easier it is for the offense to remember plays etc. Seems that our quality opponents (Stanford, ND, Wash) will use that to their advantage. Another subpar .500 season. Any over/unders on how long Helton lasts? Hell, after going for it on 4th down late in the fourth quarter instead of punting should have had his arse fired last night.stanford up next. not sure i see a winning scenario there
I only caught the second half. The scaling back of the playbook have anything to do with having to play a totally inexperienced kid at QB after Daniels went down?Even if Daniels is back 100% next week, we lose 3 out of the next 4. As far as pass plays went, absolutely. I knew our secondary was young, but they were exposed by a mid tier QB. God help us when we face top QBs this year. I could be wrong, but this team didn't have any real sense of urgency. When the defense took the field right after Daniels got hurt, they seemed flat.I only caught the second half. This just appeared to be another USC opening game baffler, but yall losing Daniels certainly din't help matters.
Pretty sure I heard x-rays/MRI were negative, but he's gonna have a knee/leg issue for awhile.USC losing Daniels is huge(I'm assuming he's out for the year) The offense looked really good despite Daniels' two TO's. Had over 200 yards passing in the first half.

Yes, but there was a familiar ring to this game. SC scores quickly in the first half, the opponent adjusts and we barely hang on. Once Daniels went down, our defense should have found the fire to step up and shut down Fresno St. If this had been a win against Stanford, Oregon or ND, I'd be much happier. But Fresno St? King of the Mountain West Conference. Yikes.USC losing Daniels is huge(I'm assuming he's out for the year) The offense looked really good despite Daniels' two TO's. Listening to L.A. radio last night after the game, word came out that it may be a severe strain with 2-6 weeks recovery depending on the damage. They said the MRI will show if there are any tears.Oh I thought I read the x-rays were negative and he was getting an MRI today. I was under the assumption that nothing was broken, but that there might be ligament damage. Maybe it was just a hyperextended knee?
