lol - I'm no great fan of Jay Feaster and he got away with a potentially huge gaffe with the ROR offer sheet, but to be fair, I think he made some pretty good selections on draft day and reports are that a trade for a defenceman fell through at the same time Russell was on waivers.

Given the situation, looks like Feaster made out okay. Yeah, Russell would have been cheaper 3 days ago, but a 5th is still not expensive.

The combinatiion of Gillis / Gilman will find a way, I have to believe.

I think that's a decent deal for both Anaheim and Ottawa (more so for the Sens as they get the premier player in the deal). Anaheim got good use out of him and got a decent return with a better than average prospect and a first rounder plus and NHL ready Silverberg. I assumed that he would be traded next offseason however.
