It's not and there's evidence... 7-9 and 7-10 with little hopeful this season.

Worse for Rivera is the fact that he hired his GM and staff. I can't fault him for wanting to do that because he like most was looking at Washington from the outside in. His biggest issue, I believe was imagining himself to be something that he has zero experience in doing.
Washington now has this odd power structure, where Rivera supposedly relies upon Mayhew/Hurney for input towards team building but HE is their boss!! Both of these guys have some front office experience, but must yield to their boss who has zero similar experience! How on earth does this work??

The real question is how much Tonya or Dan behind the current will tolerate the erosion of talent on the roster and the losing seasons?

It literally makes no sense at all. I am not getting my hopes up for the draft at all. Free agency has been a disaster, why should the draft be any better?

A CJ Verdell from Oregon would make a nice returner.
