Sweet. I put a 67 GTO motor in my Firebird. That motor was great. One of my neighbors had a 67 GTO Tripower. That car could scream

This story seems to have trouble getting into gear.

So I'll start:

Was a breathalyzer/sobriety test administered or did both players leave the scene of the accident before the police arrived.

Lots of misinformation and speculation going on.

He didn't leave the scene until after the police came. He then went back to the practice facility. No, he had not been drinking. This accident happened right after practice today.

The police have said they do not have evidence of racing. That doesn't mean it didn't happen. It simply means so far they only know Jackson was driving at a high rate of speed and crashed. I'm sure Jackson will be cited with something, but it doesn't appear Lynch will be implicated in any wrong doing.

Glad they are ok but other than that, I am not sure why this should matter to us. I don't need to know every detail of NFL football players lives and every mistake they make. We are all human, we all make our fair share of them. The only reason I care about football players is for what they do on the football field, not what they do in their day to day lives. Frankly, unless they commit a serious felony, these sort of things are not newsworthy but for some reason there are a ton of people that care about these things these days. If I got in a wreck drag racing someone... hardly anyone would care and it would hardly make the news.

Exactly....it's a new story because they are pro athletes but acting like big kids.

I don't get reality TV either...I don't find the day to day crap that we all go thru in some form or another to be that interesting.

Not sure where the idea that Lynch was driving a charger came from. Was that written somewhere? All I read was witnesses said he was driving a white sports car. And Lynch happens to have a white Lambo so it was probably that car if any.

I wouldn't know as I generally don't read their stories. The couple of stories I have read they weren't even close to getting the facts straight.

That's probably true depending on the cop that arrived at the scene ... but no one would know about it other the cops, the person I was racing, the any witnesses. And if no one got hurt, there is a tiny fraction of people that would actually care about the event. Hence, not newsworthy.

My gripe here is if your neighbors mistakes aren't important to you, why should the same mistakes made a pro athlete or actor matter to you?

You take the good with the bad. No one cares if me or my neighbor has a political view, but some silly people listen when it is an athlete or an actor. You can't be in the spotlight only when it behooves you.

I love my Challenger. I can actually fit my girlfriend's kids in the back seat too. The twelve year old is constantly demanding that I "go 100".

2 tickets in the first year has made it slightly less fun.

He could have ten cars for all I know. I was asking if it was reported he was driving a charger. I hadn't seen that but that is what people on this thread were saying. All I know is he does drive a white Lambo and the report I read said witnesses saw him driving a "white sports car". Not that it matters. It's over and no charges are coming.
