Glad they are ok but other than that, I am not sure why this should matter to us. I don't need to know every detail of NFL football players lives and every mistake they make. We are all human, we all make our fair share of them. The only reason I care about football players is for what they do on the football field, not what they do in their day to day lives. Frankly, unless they commit a serious felony, these sort of things are not newsworthy but for some reason there are a ton of people that care about these things these days. If I got in a wreck drag racing someone... hardly anyone would care and it would hardly make the news.

Maybe I don't pay enough attention, but I can't recall too many TMZ/Deadspin type stories where they made a claim and then fell on their faces. If TMZ says they have a source, and the team says they have a source...I'm gonna give a slight 51-49 edge to TMZ.

Hell, with TMZ they will probably have cell phone footage of the race before this time tomorrow.

Agreed, not sure if I have made the comment that regardless of humor in this I'm glad everyone walked away.

The kick in the sack for SEA fans is this is only 48 hours before a game, and you KNOW it is going to come up in at least pre-game and probably at other times on Thursday.

Silver lining...maybe it will fill the time that usually would be used telling us about Kap's letter he wrote himself when he was still in the womb.

That's probably true depending on the cop that arrived at the scene ... but no one would know about it other the cops, the person I was racing, the any witnesses. And if no one got hurt, there is a tiny fraction of people that would actually care about the event. Hence, not newsworthy.

My gripe here is if your neighbors mistakes aren't important to you, why should the same mistakes made a pro athlete or actor matter to you?
