Yeah, he was likely on his way out, but this sealed the deal. Thanks goodness this happened before the FO was even tempted to resign him, even on a total lowball offer.
There is an on-going debate throughout the land on the question on legalization of tweed. That said as currently recognized here and in the NFL, he violated their policy. I personally, don't agree with it but the facts are what they are. 6 games huh? that means that his next step is a one year ban and a lifetime of testing for the remainder of his career, a career that faces real jeopardy at this point.
Beyond the player, what about the man? I know that the inclination is to only care about the player and what he contributes to the team and when he fails in this manner some feel betrayed. There instinctively comes the desire to lash out and call him names, but keep in mind that this man has ONLY worn our colors contributed when he could, and now suffers through an addiction that he clearly cannot control. We are better fans than this........aren't we??
Mr. Davis, thank you for your contributions to my team, please get yourself and this issue under control and if you ever get to play another down or not, know that I and others like me wish you well because this is how members of the best fan base in the NFL reacts when one of our own displays his human flaws. Good-Luck partner, keep us posted on your struggle, we've got your back!!!
Dude has a bad habit. While i dont personally agree with the law on tokage, it is what it is. You work for a company that tests, you cant partake. To me the only sad part is, he has likely blown any real shot he had at being in the league for long at this point. I feel for him on that level.

Nope. I don't care about Fred Davis, the man. He's pure garbage in my book.
Also, most "weed fans" claim that marijuana is non-addictive. Which is it?

Screw that. I hope your career is over Davis but I do hope you get your life straightened out. I don't want to see you making millions or even hundreds of thousands playing a game because you had your chance and you blew it. Don't the door hit you in the ass on your way out.
