If Francona didn't have roots in Oakland I would say we probably wouldn't have much of a shot at bringing him in....but the fact that he does have oaktown roots I think we need to strike fast and get him in here before the white sox make a big run at him!

i just love how people view but nobody posts on this whole message board! Yes we are not a great team at the moment.....but there's definitely things to talk about/debate! Come on people! Get'er done!

I'll post something. What Oakland needs is a NEW owner and a NEW GM. Those should be priorities #1 and #2. Maybe they need a new manager, maybe they don't. What the manager needs is some players to work with and the organization needs some stability. Can't get that always trading off fine players sometimes years before their contracts are up and going through managers like they were water. Also, pretty damned hard to build up a fan base that way as well.
