Nothing To See Here
The Lions have won the last three Turkey Day tilts. What looked like a lousy match-up in August now plays out for first place in the NFC North. The Lion's are already in the record book against the Vikes by virtue of handing them their first loss in their new stadium. Here's what I see as the keys to victory Thursday.
Start fast, score first. It wouldn't take much to collapse the opposition's momentum. Minnie has a minimal run game, a spotty passing game, and getting out first could easily take the wind out of their sails. Confidence is not high, they've lost a bunch of games, and they're on the road.
Kick the ball out of the end zone - no special team returns for Vikes. It was their catalyst against Arizona. Don't give them a chance to get momentum.
The Vikings don't have a strong offense. Remove special teams, avoid turn overs, and it's a game Detroit should win. Home field provides the advantage to the Lions.
Four Thanksgiving Victories, and for dessert, First Place in the NFC North. Sweet!
