True. its been a very weird 48 hours covering many aspects of democracy - election, protest, and legislative process.

Looks like the Republicans have decided to ceremonially lodge their complaints and go forward with the process. Sadly, that still means they don’t see the problem with their objections is that they are complete bullshit over a well run, orderly, and safe election in difficult circumstances with a pandemic and many law changes.

I think that they have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Electoral College process is deeply flawed and leaving it up to individual states to conduct their own Presidential elections leads to inconsistent results. From now on the Federal government should oversee one election process to elect the President, and the winner of the national popular vote is the winner.
