I really hope that you are right, but I don't feel as confident.

If they can't get it done before the election - it drives turnout of single issue dinguses who can't stand Trump but still want to appease Jerry Falwell Junior and not let women say no to anything. Biden may win the White House, but the Senate remains the Reichstag. Do we really think Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia will do the right thing? Fuck no. These are people who think that America is the best country on earth and the furthest they've ever traveled is the Wal Mart in Hooter county.

If they expect to lose White House and Congress, what incentive do they have to NOT go ahead and ensure they control the Judiciary for 20 years? And don't say fear of being viewed as a hypocrite might force them to act.

A couple of good ideas. Make DC and Puerto Rico states with 2 senators each. Add four seats to the court (The constitution doesn't dictate how many there needs to be).

Maybe go even further:
1) Constitutional Amendment - any justice nominated by an impeached president must go through approval again after next general election.
2) End gerrymandering once and for all
3) Kill the electoral college. Or modify it to state that the winner of the popular vote gets an extra 50 electoral votes.
