1. Any golfer that would shoot a round in the low 70's at a prestigious golf course like Winged Foot would remember exactly what he shot.
2. He cheats at golf which is well documented.

Yeah, the USGA tweaks the greens to make sure the winning score is close to par (if not over par). Last time the US Open was held at Winged Foot, the winning score was +5.

And the rough?!? Let's just say it's thick.

Probably the hardest US Open venue. Probably the most consistently hard major championship venue. Of the 6 times it has held the US open only 2 people have finished under par after 4 rounds. And they were in they were in the same year where intense rain softened the greens.

It's insanely hard. Rated almost 76 from the back tees at a par of 70. Maybe Tronald Dump was talking about the East course at Winged foot which is slightly easier, but he wouldn't break 80 there either. He's not very good.
