Bolton can't prove what he is saying is true...Trump can claim it a lie. Proof is classified. The whole basis of her argument is wrong.."the government must admit the information in question is true." No, no they don't. They call the information is a lie.

It all depends on how invested Trump is in proving Bolton is lying. For the most part, Fox News, Trump supporters and the GOP will all fall in line and automatically swallow everything Trump says. If he says it's a lie, that's good enough for them. That's all I am saying. If Trump had the conscience or motivation to prove the lies, he could de-classify anything that is politically convenient for him.

At the end of the day he doesn't give a shit what's true until it negatively affects the grift.

I don't think the administration would have any legal standing to say that Bolton isn't permitted to lie in his book then.

Unless they can demonstrate a specific offense such as revealing actual classified information or libel/slander - which is obviously a high bar with the public figure standard - on what basis do they try to stop him?
