Apparently draft position. It is popularity. When the Pro Bowl selects De's they look at sack numbers that's it. I don't what the hell they look at when they select OG's.

If Jg was healthy I don't think TM would of seen the playing time that he is seeing right now. Are you calling TM a speed rusher?
Look at yards per carryRun game has thrived eh. I wouldn't call the 18th ranked team (which is where we rank rushing-wise) in a 32 team league thriving. Teams that can run with consistency are physical, we're not physical on either side of the ball. Our offense is more finesse than physical and our defense is outright embarrassing and worthy of clown status. This defense reminds me of the shitty defenses we had when Ron Lynn was def co. This defense has better CBs, trhough it'd be nice if they could catch shit that hit them in the hands, but after that we're right there with Lynn's defense far as being ill prepared, unable to adjust. falling victim again and again to elementary shit. Check downs to RBs, basic pass and run plays giving up career days to someone every fuckin weerk it seems. Shitty linek, interior backer and safety play and adequate outside backer play al la Ken Harvey.
It time for Scotty Mac to get on the stick and start doin some of that shit he was doing in Frisco and Seattle. Cuz all he's doing here is making dolla dolla bills y'all for KC.
IF Long had been a capable starting RG, Moses would have never seen the field.. so whats your point??
He didn't fail. The staff put the best 5 lineman on the fieldLong is the not capable at starting at both guard positions. The point is Martin was their starting RG from Day 1. Scferff had OT attached to his name so he started out at RT and failed.

What ever makes you feel better Dean. But if you consider a guy who barring serious injury will be a key starter here for the next ten years some sort of failure... . Im not sure what you would consider a success.
Oh wait.. Ziggy Hood making roster was a success in your book thats right.
Perhaps DGF hasn't seen my standards for draft picks . It has been posted an times . Look giving williams more time is ok but then I cant stick a needle in at dean .
Barring injury Sherff will be a fixture in the PB.
Right now he is ahead of Williams things can change but right now he is ahead
This guy stablized our o/ line . Williams could have helped our d/line
We took the right guy and we need to stop acting like he was a mistake . There hasn't been a PB player at OG taken after him yet
Now on to the defense
I'd settle for a few more safe picks instead of trading half a teams worth of draft picks for a spread option QB. We could have had two or three starters on D if that had not been the case.
Sherff is a PB player. Williams is an 0 fer
Not a failure at Og just RT.
Look at yards per carry
Considering we never saw him ar OT, even in the preseason... thats your opinion. Where as the reality is, it was deemed the O-line as a whole was better off with Scherff at RG and Moses at OT than with Long starting. So again, Longs in ability to start at OG is the only reason Moses see's the field.
I seem to recall reading some articles that said someone, MM. someone, was significantly better or at least looked noticeably better than Scherff did at T. It wasn't like they never played him at the position from what I recall.
That could be a pretty big reason why we never him at T.

Yeah, 4.41 ypc, that's cool. Scoring less than a rushing TD a game and the red-zone/short yardage inadequacies trump that though, at least imo. Plus, I'm not buying its all playcalling or KC far as our red-pzone issues. We could run a little more north/south imo and a FB wouldn't hurt. But there always seems to be a breakdown on the OL somewhere. Either someone false starts or holds, Schreff led the OL with 7 penalties this year and MM had 6 himself. How many times has that seemed to happen (to everyone on the OL including Trent) when the Skins get in or near the red-zone? Or a DE or LB just crashes the backside with an inside slant and blows up the play. Those fuckin OL subbing in as TEs on jumbo packages are also next to fuckin useless as well.
And in that same article it was also mentioned that 3-5 days into training camp it was rather questionable to make such determinations on a rookie player. Most also expected a guy in his second year to look more comfortable at the position than a rookie. At the time it was questioned if Washington had been too quick to make the move to putting Scherff at OG. Now for the most part it has worked out for the team. As having what looks to be an all pro level RG next to an average OT might serve better than having a different setup. But I guess this question really gets answered over the next year or two. Because I think we can all safely say that barring a major injury, Scherff will be here for the long haul. Moses.... I still think if they had a better option, he would be a backup.
