Yeah. I feel kinda embarrassed to be following a sport that gives the same suspension for PEDs as it does for cannabis.

IMO it should a one year suspension for the first offense and a lifetime ban for a 2nd offense for PED use. It would actually clean the league up. Eventually it will go to something more severe like that IMO.

You better check APs miracle comeback from an ACL "workout" before putting that in stone...kinda like TOs "hyperbaric chamber" that got him back for the playoffs...

Didn't we just have a few posts about how the NFLPA is spending millions in legal fees to fight for these players for unfair suspensions? I would say if they went to a 1-year suspension the only way that works is if both the NFLPA and the NFL agree to it and since that would mean some major loss of wages I just can't see the NFLPA going for that.

I have no delusions about the team's I cheer for. I was telling people 50% of players in the sport's we cheered for where taking PED's 15 years ago before people realized it (and I was underestimating as it turns out). I thought the decision to delay the suspension on the Williams wall was a ridiculous decision.

IMO there are maybe 5 or 6 OL and DL in the ENTIRE league that have never used PED's at any point in their life. That is how tainted I think the sport has been.

I want stricter PED penalties not because I think my team is clean....I want them because it will make my team clean eventually.

Oh yeah it would have to be negotiated into the CBA and agreed to by both sides.

The player's unions in sports completely failed their members in regards to PED's.

Player's unions should actually be the ones pushing for the stricter rules and more stringent testing. PED use is dangerous. But by fighting the rules to test and suspend player's they not only made PED use OK for a decade or more....they made it almost mandatory if you were going to keep up with everyone else. Unions are there in large part to improve safety and they failed there members for decades now.

Not surprised. Almost all NFL players have taken or are taking PEDs.

The NFL wants a high value product, so what do you expect?

I just recently learned that these suspensions and fines are not used in the equation for voting on HOF...
It's about the athletes performance in the game....So no, it won't effect Brady's induction either...
The article was about Warren Sapp being a first ballot inductee, with his troubles off field...
