It's a message board. It's for sharing your opinion. Right now the majority opinion is doom and gloom and for a damn good reason.

Now I don't have the history to understand those who only post when things are bad and disappear when things are good. By the way when exactly have things been good? Oh yeah, there was that one time when we got hot at the end and turned a 4-6 start into a 10-6 division crown. That was fun, for 2 months. Then there were the other 2 playoff appearances, again both coming with amazing hot streaks at the end to salvage our annual losing record in October and steal the last play spot. Again a fun 2 months after yet more horrible starts. So for the past 20 years we've had good times for, what, 5 months? The other 19 years and 7 months have pretty much sucked.

If you think that 24 hours after the one guy who has said he is completely responsible for developing the plan to make this team into a contender again comes out in a press conference as a bumbling idiot and we arent going to discuss it, you are crazy. Here's the deal dad. Most of us are die hard fans. We will soon tire of the venting and get back to our usual false hope that the skins will turn it around. That will last all off season and peak in preseason where we will go 4-0. I will issue my standard prediction that we will go 9-7 and win the division. Then the regular season will hit and the gloom will soon start all over again. Its like Ground Hog day. Wash, rinse, repeat. We are just now in recovery mode before we begin our offseason championship.

Yeah what j_y said, we just ended another bad year, the GM held a press conference that anyone of us non-qualified fans could have probably done a better job at. There isn't much to talk about now other than ... man we suck, they suck and everybody sucks.

The more we hear about the new DC fans will either rally around or slam potential candidates. Then round about February all of our resident amateur GMs will start getting ready for FA and the draft and hope will start to bloom. But I warn you dad, some of us/these scallywags will slander some choices because they KNOW they are better amateur GMs than everyone else.

By August we will be making predictions of 4-12 .... 8-8 and 12-4 with a Super Bowl win.

I do promise one thing. the Cooley reports will become pretty much extinct. My hour and 45 minute commute is changing to 15 minutes as of next Monday.

i understand everyone is pissed , and so am i but i saw a losing season coming because it all added up to it

but that isnt here nor there

what is just driving me nuts is when i or someone else starts a thread about anything not directed at allen or snyder it keeps ending up about allen and snyder and no move they can make will be right

i get venting but just about every thread is about the same thing even when it isnt about them

man i would just like to talk about ideas about FA , the draft , some coaching candidates , and let it be about that without the the same old hi jacking of threads so someone can "vent "

i dont want to control what people say and what not but cant we at least give it a rest in virtually every thread ?

its depressing , discouraging , cancerous and geez certainly not needed in every post

heated debate is great but man we are fans of the team and we just dont get to express any hope .

we have fans on this board who are more concerned about being right then wanting the team to win

we have poster who want our guys to get hurt so their guy can play

it takes its toll and my hope was if we had a venting thread that would cut that down but instead people think their 1st amendment rights are being violated because some posters are asking for the gas peddle to be let off in every stinking thread

we cant even get a little moderation in the venting even when the thread doesnt call for it

Here is a little filter I put on myself dad. I read some posts and think "hey, I can agree or disagree." Then I think, to what purpose. I decide to just let it go because everyone doesn't need my opinion or every single thread.

Now I see many of these posts where several of our folks feel they need to comment on every post ... positively or negatively. I don't feel it is my position to decide how often or how much someone should comment or post and I wouldn't want to do that. To each their own. My point, if you feel like you have to answer most comments then sometimes things are going to take a negative turn because most here think they are right in what they think and feel.
