I was just watching highlights from the 1992 Colorado @ Nebraska game to refresh some old memories I had as a young kid.

This is pure gold here.

One thing I noticed, @ 1:40 Calvin Jones breaks loose for a TD and drops the ball before he even gets in the end zone. :dhd: That would have been reviewed and overturned in today's world of College Football. I still remember that run from when I was just a 6 year old kid, but back then I did not notice him dropping the ball before he got to the end zone.

We also run the Fumble Rooskie in this game with Will Shields.

Like I said, pure gold for those of you who remember this game. :smokin:

One more thing.....

I fucking yearn for this kind of intensity on the Defensive Line.

Fumble Rooskie;

When is the last time they used that play? Think Bo would ever try?

The NCAA banned it. Which makes the play even better.

I didn't know that. Why was the play banned? :confused2:

Loved the way the right guard and tackle pulled on that play.

EDIT: NVM I thought you were talking about the play JJM referred to where Calvin dropped the ball before he got into the end zone.

I knew the Fumble-Rooskie got banned.

The lines are disciplined, crisp, and physical.

Nebraska's just not good up front anymore. :pout:

I know right?

Funny how I don't remember anyone saying anything when that play happened, but now it's like our eyes are trained to see that stuff or something.

Of course I was pretty damn young then so my vision probably wasn't too sharp.

I don't remember it, but they might have said something on tv at the time. It wouldn't have mattered because they didn't have instant replay where the ruling on the field could have been overturned.

Besides, Nebraska won big, so it really didn't matter in the scope of things.

I imagine T.O. got on him later about it.

It was also before they banned "Popping your top".

Tommie pulled his helmet off after that one TD run. :dhd:

I was gonna mention that too.

Jones ripped his helmet off right after he dropped the ball on that run.

I remember the celebration standards were a lot different. Tommy used to high step into the endzone holding his finger up in the air from 35 yards out.

I don't think there were any then.

They call it the "Miami Rule" now.
