Well for starters PE wants us to admit were all wrong. He even took this whole mess to PM with nothing new insisting I admit I'm wrong on the Eagles gaining additional cap space by making Foles opt out.
Ha he sent me a pm demanding a formal

I haven't read it either but considering reality and the state of the league, they are all probably talking about how the Eagles are a QB factory and destined to dominate the league for the duration of our tremendous coach's career.

I bet they're also discussing how no team is better than the Eagles at managing the cap which will contribute to our glorious sustained success over the next few decades.

We rock, Iggloo.

Got it. Ok, well we know that so it means I can skip this pointless chatter.

Prices continue to drop...

Now finish the rest of the sentence you fucking liar.

That rest is if a team chooses to turn it into 5 they can or they can keep THE ORIGINAL 4 YEAR DEAL. Original 4 year deal![/QUOTE]

Why are you afraid of this question?

OK. Let me ask you this

Rookie signs the contract.
Team exercises the 5th year of said contract.
Rookie says "I only signed a 4 year contract"
Team says "you signed a 5 year contract"
Who prevails in court?

Holy fuck Batman, what is your problem.

Looks like we can finally agree I no longer have to admit I was wrong on how much Cap space the Eagles saved or would have saved, but please explain the rest of you rant.

Are you saying the money the Eagles rolled over included the 2M?

Yes. That’s why the newspaper said it’s rolled over money. That’s why the Eagles picked up the option, so they can save an extra 2 million.

I did answer the question. The team prevails because a clause on HIS 4 YEAR CONTRACT says the team down the road either can hold to the 4 YEAR CONTRACT or add on another. That’s why all rookie 1st round picks sign a 4 year contract because they don’t know if a team will keep it at that or not.

Where you are confused is the team holds the rights to a player for up to 5 years. Holding the rights is not a contract. That’s why the NFL contractual rights mandate that all 1st round pickssign 4 year contracts.

Can a team hold the rights? In this situation? But not be under contract?

So they rolled over money before Foles opted out? Do you not realize how fucking moronic that sounds?

What would have happened if Foles didn't opt out?

And you wonder why we call you stupid.

The ironic thing is the great cap master was/is so worried about $2M that he had to shit on the teams only SB winning QB.
Great organization. Where do I sign up?

I wonder if I can go to a car dealer with 40 grand on pocket and walk out with a 60 grand vehicle "Title in hand" if I tell him a friend will carry over the other 20?

Can a team hold the rights? In this situation? But not be under contract?

Because it’s two different things. “Rights aren’t a contract”. Want me to prove it. The team has the rights to any player for 2 years after their contract expires with the franchise tag. If someone signs a contract we should say every single contract is actually 2 years longer because you have the rights to any player on your team for 2 more years if you franchise them? Absolutely not. Point proved.

If you’re saying “the rights to the player makes the contract 5 years” then we really should say they have a 7 year contract cause after the contract the team has the right to franchise them twice. Case closed. Rights don’t mean a contract.
