That’s fucking ridiculous.
In order for a contract to be valid and enforceable there must be “a meeting of the minds”. That’s a term of art. If there is no “meeting of the minds” then there is no contract. One party cannot UNILATERALLY change a contract term... especially one that is so important such as length.
