Yes but if you watch this trap, it is so far back that their entire team is in the neutral zone, minus one guy who is so far back that he is awaiting any kind of dump and chase.

Flyers did the right thing. The hockey world is furious with Tampa. End of story.

I'm pissed ay Philly (partly biased of course). It was almost like Philly was saying "We cant beat them, so let's join them". And I saw last nights trap, I wad trying to say the Devils were never that bad, but yet some people were blaming the Devils for making it famous.

Not so much for the fame, you guys just used it well. The way Tampa was doing it was stupid, I wouldn't want my team skating into 5 opposing players either, the whole thing was a no win situation..

it was fun to watch. A nice statement but hope it doesnt catch on. I heard on the radio the NHL was already meeting to see what they can do about breaking that trap with a rule. the only people that did the correct thing last night was the refs putting the faceoff in the philly zone.

I like playing against the trap. Your breakout might involve skating the puck more, but you just gotta challenge one guy to make a play. The funny thing about the trap is that if you make one guy fuck up, they all look like dumbasses. (and their goalie will hate life.)

i loved the philly players taunting the tampa players from the bench. also there was a great moment in this game where pierre mcquirre caught a puck and gave it to a kid in the stands it was a philly fan. pierre looked at the camera and said I hope that kid remembers me when he spills a beer on me in the future in philly

I'm just shocked that Pierre was able to muscle a puck over the glass.

heh

my buddy lives in Europe and he went to the world juniors a few years back when it was in Finland (I think it was there) and he saw Gord and Pierre at a restaraunt and the 3 things that stood out where they NEVER stopped talking and talking over each other, they BARELY stopped shoving food in their mouths and when they left they had the largest backsides he has seen before. all they do is sit and watch hockey.

Guy's we are all entitled to our opinion OK? No need for name calling and shit games. It's a god damn message board and if we can't live with what other people think we shouldn't be here.

I respect everyone's opinion and Ross has been a good poster and he like the rest of us have our own opinions.

Even me. :rofl::rofl:

Just my $.02 (and I know I haven't been around as long as some of you.....and I know that you didn't ask for my $.02), but I don't remember Rossinole EVER being a good poster. I remember at the swamp there was a rough game between the Flames and Columbus and the dude started trolling (or in his words, "being critical") the Flames and dash of all people. Dash doesn't fuck with anybody either (except Edmonton and their fans).

Maybe Ross is a good guy or was a good guy, of that I have no doubt. It's just weird he comes out of the woodwork guns blazing and that's all I've ever seen him do. I remember when Dup WAS a good poster once. Now.....

Even though SF is just an everyday prick.....

Then again, I'm a prick too so take this post for what it's worth (probably less than $.02).

Personally, I don't blame either team. If the NHL wants to put an end to these shanahanigans, they should do like the NBA and implement an illegal defense rule; problem solved.

it's a shame that a team that has such offensively talented players resorts to the netural zone trap

What is this 1995? And I don't mean that to knock the Lightning, I mean that to knock the Flyers. The trap is not this impenetrable force that nobody has figured out yet. There are ways to beat the trap. If you can't figure that out then you're simply being out coached. It's why Bruce Boudreau sucks in my opinion, if you're a coach your job is to figure out a gameplan to beat the other team, he couldn't do it for an entire playoff series.

Teams with extremely talented players excel at the trap, because when you don't get as many chances you need to capitalize on the few that you do get. Stamkos, St. Louis and Vinny are the types of guys that won't miss those chances.

Darren Dreger of TSN is speculating that it would be a hot button topic of discussion next week at the general managers meeting. If they were to go this route and deem certain defensive schemes illegal, it certainly opens up a big can of worms.

Wilcard guy I never heard of, Bomani Jones, telling it like it is. He blamed the ning and gave credit tot he flyers.

Dumbass Bill Plashke basically said the Flyers were penalized twice for delay of game and illegal tactics and we lost the game because of it.
